Asbestos and the Alliance of American Insurers - 1978

On June 6, 1978, a meeting was held by the claims committee of the Alliance. Some of the companies represented included Liberty Mutual, Lumbermens Mutual Casualty Company, and Prudential Property and Casualty.

Here is the excerpt from the minutes of the committee meeting in Denver, Colorado that discusses asbestosis and some of the insurance issues the carriers were dealing with.

The committee appointed an asbestosis subcommittee consisting of individuals from Liberty Mutual, Lumbermens, Employers Insurance of Wausau, and American Mutual, to formulate recommendations for the full claims committee to consider.
